I got my tattoo done in Tacoma, Washington at Tsunami by Nate. Fortitude means the mental capacity to persevere in the face of hardship/adversity, and I’ve been through a lot in my lifetime. The suffix  ”tude” is Latin for something applying to one’s mentality, a quality or condition of being. Like attitude, aptitude, or gratitude, yet fortitude means to be able to fortify yourself and your mind with a foundation sturdy enough to withstand a storm.
